Outstanding ATMAE Student Chapter Award

The Student Division of the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE), at the discretion of the Division President, may recognize an Outstanding Student Chapter each year. The Outstanding Student Chapter Award is selected based on both the number of ATMAE student members in the chapter and the range and quality of activities sponsored by the chapter. The chapter receiving the award is selected by the President of the Student Division in consultation with Division Directors. The award is announced at the Annual Conference

Nominations:

  • Nominations should be sent to the current President of the ATMAE Student Division - see the Student Division Personnel contact information.
  • Nominations may be made by chapter officers, chapter advisors, or other ATMAE members.
  • Nominations should be received by the Student Division President by October 15 of each year.
  • Nomination materials should address the award criteria:
    • Number of ATMAE student members in the chapter: Important data could include the total membership as of application date; the increase in membership from prior years; the number of seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen;
    • Range and quality of activities sponsored by the chapter: This could include a description of ongoing activities and projects; the number of members involved with or attending each; any awards of recognitions to the chapter or individual members as a result of chapter activities; this can include academic projects, departmental support activities, campus or community service activities, competitions, visitimemng speakers, industry tours, community or industry partnerships; fundraising activities and how successful they were; and social activities.
  • Objective measures of chapter activity and quality are helpful in evaluating nominations for this award.
