Membership in ATMAE
Membership in ATMAE is open to all individuals, firms, institutions, and organizations interested in promoting the objectives of the Association. ATMAE has professional and student members at over 500 community colleges, universities and companies throughout the U.S. and around the world.

Membership Divisions & Focus Groups
- Electronic Membership Application & Renewal Form - Credit Card and Purchase Orders only.
- Use this application to join ATMAE or renew your membership via our secure website if you want to pay with a Visa or MasterCard, or if you have a Purchase Order number from your institution so that ATMAE may issue an invoice.
- Printable PDF Membership Application - To mail in your application.
- Use this application to join ATMAE or renew your membership by filling out the form and sending it to ATMAE with your check, money order, or Visa or MasterCard information.
Membership Classes, Annual Fees & Renewal
ATMAE Members are placed in various Membership classes depending on their personal status and institutional affiliation:
- Professional ($80); there are three subclasses: 2-Year Academic Professional, 4-year Academic Professional, and Industry Professional.
- Student ($20)
- Retired ($20)
- Organizational ($240).
The membership year for all membership classifications is 12 months from the date an application and payment is processed by the ATMAE Office.
- Members are mailed up to 3 membership renewal invoices in the months surrounding their membership anniversary date and need not apply for membership again in order to renew their ATMAE Membership.
- Members may also renew online through the Electronic Membership Application (above).

Membership Divisions & Focus Groups
Membership is also available no charge in ATMAE Membership Divisions and Focus Groups. Divisions and focus groups have their own presentation and activity tracks at the annual ATMAE conference, and operate other programs for their members.As of July 2010, there are 10 divisions and one Focus Group.
Divisions:
- Community College and Technical Institute (CCTI)
- Construction
- Electricity, Electronics & Computer Technology (EECT)
- Graphics
- Management
- Manufacturing
- Safety
- Student
- University
- Women in Technology (WiT).
Focus Groups:
- Distance & Online Learning (DOL).
ATMAE members may choose to join any division or focus group; faculty members are also placed in either the CCTI or University Division by default, based on the type of institution in which they work.
